Veerle Slenders has been named President, Praxair Surface Technologies, effective February 1, 2021.
Veerle joined Praxair Belgium in 1995 as a customer service representative and held a variety of positions before being named General Manager, Process Gases, Europe, in 2003. Over the following six years, Veerle held various leadership roles of increasing responsibility serving the Electronics market in Europe and North America. In 2011 she was named Managing Director, Benelux and France for Praxair. She took on the role of Vice President, PST Europe, India and Singapore in 2014 and, two years later, moved to Danbury, CT US as the Vice President, Corporate Safety, Health and Environment. Following the merger of Praxair Inc. and Linde AG in 2019, Veerle was named Vice President, Global Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) for Linde plc based out of Munich, Germany.
Veerle has a master's degree in chemical engineering from Hasselt University in Belgium and a postgraduate degree in business administration from Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.
