Inner Diameter Coatings
Advanced HVOF CoreGardTM coatings offer lasting protection for internal diameters with longer lengths such as cylinders, tubes, housings, sleeves and more. While the coating process is similar to traditional HVOF, the challenge of coating small internal surfaces is that powder particles must be heated and accelerated over a small distance, in sub-milli-seconds. PST's CoreGard coatings can produce a dense coating on surfaces with an internal diameter as small as 2.8 inches (71 mm) and a length up to 118 inches (3000 mm).
This tungsten carbide based coating is REACH compliant and therefore can be used as a replacement to traditional hard chrome plating. The coatings are wear resistant and have been proven to last 5-10 times longer than hard chrome.
