John Sirman

John Sirman

Sirman was named vice president, electronic deposition materials in February 2021.   In this role, he leads the global business of production and sales of PVD targets and other specialty electronic materials to the electronics industry.   He joined Praxair’s R&D organization in 1998 and worked in various roles of increasing responsibility within Praxair R&D until 2007 when he joined Praxair Electronics.   While at Praxair Electronics, Sirman held positions in R&D, marketing and business development before being named Managing Director of Advanced Components.  In 2012, he returned to the R&D organization where most recently he was director of external technology in the Linde Technology organization.   He has a bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering and a PhD in Ceramic Materials Science from Imperial College, London, and an MBA from the University of Buffalo.
