November 22, 2019

SINGAPORE, November 22, 2019 – Praxair Surface Technologies and GE Aviation today opened a second facility in Singapore for their PG Technologies business.

PG Technologies is a joint venture between Praxair Surface Technologies, Inc., a Linde company, and GE Aviation, and specializes in advanced coatings that enable jet engines to withstand higher temperatures and stresses.

The new facility currently employs 30 people, with the expectation to grow to 60-70 people by 2025. The facility contains PG Technologies’ latest electron beam physical vapor deposition (EBPVD) coater as well as other coating processes, with plenty of room to expand.

“We are excited to see our partnership with GE Aviation continue to grow as they expand their portfolio,” said Derek Hileman, managing director, PG Technologies. “We are located near our customer, allowing us to look at new ways of supporting them during their growth.”

“Congratulations to PGT Singapore on the inauguration of their new facility,” said Dev Rudra, managing director, GE Aviation Engine Services Singapore. “This capacity addition will help us in supporting the growing component repair volumes from our customers.”
