Our SermaGard®, SermaLon™ and SermeTel™ slurry coatings provide unsurpassed protection against aqueous corrosion and heat scaling, as well as erosion, abrasion and wear. We apply these coatings by brushing, flowing, dipping or spraying them onto clean prepared surfaces. And because the deposition process is relatively gentle, slurry coatings can be deposited not only on metals, but also on ceramics, glass and composites.
Fluoropolymer-Based Coatings & Linings
Corrosion can take quite a toll on actuator housings, wellhead connectors and fasteners. That’s where our SermaGard® coatings come in. They protect against salt corrosion for components exposed to offshore atmospheric and subsea environments. And our full line of Blue Armor® ECTFE and SermaShield™ ECTFE, ETFE, FEP, PFA and PVDF fluoropolymer coatings protect processing equipment from chemical attack while providing resistance against abrasion and thermal shock.
Ideal for offshore applications such as riser tensioner rods, our laser-clad overlays of nickel- or cobalt-based superalloy combat corrosion and abrasive wear on your most critical components. Laser processing involves application of a high-quality, metallurgically bonded overlay for wear protection and dimensional restoration. This impervious protective layer ensures a metallurgical bond with minimal distortion and a small heat-affected zone, which allows us to repair and protect substrate materials that would otherwise be unrepairable. Laser-clad solutions are also available for end caps and tieback connectors, gate valve seats and male sub connectors for riser pipes.
Thermal Spray Coatings
Protect against corrosion, temperature fluctations and critical wear issues from erosion to abrasion with our wide range of tungsten carbide-based coatings for valves, seats, rotors, rods and more. Our LW-45 and GV-50H thermal spray coatings for gate valves are widely recognized as the industry standard. For downhole tools, our CoreGard™ ID coatings last 6 to 10 times longer than hard chrome plating. And you can eliminate corrosion on drilling and production risers and subsea piping with our specially applied thermal sprayed aluminum (TSA) coatings.
For optimal adhesion and interface cleanliness, we offer cleaning, blasting and stripping surface preparation services before coatings are applied. We also provide dimensioning, heat treating, peening and testing to maximize newly coated surfaces.
